Bright Grey: Cancer patients don't need to face it alone

New research from Macmillan has found that nearly a quarter (23%) of people diagnosed with cancer in the UK will lack support from their family or friends during their treatment and recovery. That's more than 70,000 people each year.   And more than half (53%) of healthcare professionals say patients have decided to skip treatment altogether because they have no support from family or friends1.

For most of us, having to face cancer without friends or family is unthinkable, but this research reminds us that many people are alone. This was one of the reasons we created the Helping Hand service when we started Bright Grey.

What Helping Hand offers is invaluable to clients. It gives them access to a qualified nurse who they can talk to whenever they want. The nurse is there to offer tailored support to your clients depending on what they need. This could be anything from giving them someone friendly to talk to, to help preparing questions for the doctor, to arranging special treatments and therapies. And all this is part of their Bright Grey menu plan so wouldn't cost them any extra.

To find out more, go to www.brightadviser.co.uk/HelpingHand. You'll find out how Helping Hand can not only support your clients, but help strengthen your advice and grow your business too.
