Scottish Provident: A faster and easier approach to underwriting

At Scottish Provident we work hard to improve our service and our propositions. So we are pleased to tell you that our recent changes to underwriting will speed up our service for your clients. Already this year, we have reduced the number of times we request a GPR by 20%.

Here’s more about the changes we have made to get your clients on risk quicker and with less medical evidence.

  • We now use nurses’ examinations rather than GPRs for ALL age groups for initial medical requirements

  • We already have some of the highest limits of cover available in the market before we ask for a financial questionnaire or corroboration through a third party. With no financial questionnaire needed for life cover up to £1.5 million, critical illness cover up to £750,000 and relevant life policies up to £2.5 million that means less paperwork up to these amounts.

  • Our online applications process has been streamlined and our assessments are even quicker resulting in a shorter process for you and your clients
