Advising on critical illness insurance is not about the cheapest premium or the most well known name. The name of the game is to look for the plan that offers the highest likelihood of meeting a claim or, alternatively, the best value-for-money.

Being able to apportion a value to each condition, and also each different policy wording, is crucial to plan selection, yet most advisers are unable to do this. They rely on vague differentiators such as the numbers of ABI+ conditions or 5 star rating systems. These offer limited scope and can also be quite misleading.

CIExpert offers a solution to this problem. It provides the tools to assess the most effective plan and enables each condition to be understood. Furthermore it allows access to an in depth library of current and historic plan documentation so that many historic plans can be analysed and compared to today’s varieties.
