Seasons Greetings from PanaceaIFA

December has been a very good month for Panacea and I think we all will be looking for a respite over the festive season to recharge batteries for the challenges 2012 will bring.

Firstly we are as always very pleased that our supporting firms wish to remain engaged with our Community, so a big thank you to those who have confirmed in December - F&C, Prudential, J P Morgan, LV=, Thames River and Scottish Widows.  Plus a big welcome to new sponsors for 2012 - Legal & General and Partnership.

Social media continues to be a focus of our wish to see the Community grow. A demonstration of this success was in November when we won a Top IFA Twitter award with over 23% of the vote. Winning by such a huge margin shows that our followers place great store in our communications and respond positively when asked. One IFA posted “Derek Bradley at Panacea has been brilliant in supporting IFAs in all areas. A worthy candidate”.

It is nice to be so appreciated!!

In addition to being shortlisted in the Professional Adviser Awards for Best Support Services we have also been asked to submit an overview of what we do for the Money Marketing awards 2102 in the same category. We will be keeping our fingers crossed on both counts.

On 9th December we were invited by BrightTalk Thought Leadership Live to conduct a free webcast on business transition, if you haven’t had a chance to view it yet, please do – feedback has been very positive.

We will also be providing a monthly contribution to Professional Adviser starting in December, so keep your eyes out for that.

Our “This is what my clients think about the RDR Mr Sants” survey has now closed with over seven hundred responses. The results will be distributed to Hector as well asGeorge Osborne, the TSC, Mark Hoban, the OFT, AIFA, CII, ABI and of course the press and one would hope it is received with reasoned consideration. The results we have seen so far are simply astonishing so thank you to all that participated.

As one major provider said in November, the “empire continues to grow”. And with your support we intend to see that the world of the directly regulated IFA firm continues to receive the support it clearly deserves.

So as 2012 fast approaches, I hope it is a great year for all our Community members. Thank you for your support and enthusiasm for what we do and that it continues into the New Year.

Seasons Greetings

Derek Bradley
CEO Panacea
