Last week, Barclays Bank announced they would stop offering customers branch based retail financial advice, citing the higher costs of RDR compliance as a main reason.

The publicity that has attracted gives you a great opportunity. Not only did they raise many of the requirements of RDR to Sunday newspaper readers, opinion leaders also used it to highlight the costs and limitations of bank based advice.
