Thames River Multi-Manager Funds are now 2 years old

Thames River Capital logoIt has been two years since Gary Potter, Rob Burdett and their team launched five Multi-Manager funds here at Thames River and what a two years it’s been. Since the launch we have witnessed massive market uncertainty, huge volatility, recession and a recent market rally.

So how have we done?

Even in these remarkable market conditions, the managers have achieved consistent relative returns. All of the five funds are first or second quartile since launch. Gary Potter and Rob Burdett now have assets under management of over £265m. In these challenging markets we have just had another record month for inflows of over £33m. I have also attached a recent article from New Model Adviser that makes comment on our Multi-Capital proposition.

Are we there yet? – The Case for equities

Since our first ‘The Case for Equities’ publication in October 2008 (see www.thamesrivermm.co.uk for a copy), markets look like they may have bottomed and subsequently rallied considerably from their lows. People have started to gain confidence that the financial world is not about to end and begun investing again. In the latest ‘Tales from the River’ we outline some further interesting facts and views that have come to our attention over the intervening 10 months which underpin the case for equities over the long term.
