Wizard Learning - RDR Diploma exams - You can have your say!

The FSSC’s recent announcement that it is holding regional events to allow advisers to provide feedback on the proposed core qualification standards post RDR is welcome. Let’s hope however, that those at the front line are listened to where practical and constructive suggestions are given and that we are not going to be subject to 9 weeks of “lip service”.

It would also be useful if the FSSC can come up with the standards for the specialist units sooner rather than later so that the industry can react to the whole package rather than just parts of it. For instance, some areas of cross over in learning outcomes could arise between core and specialist units. Where could these best be placed?

Interesting to look at the views of current awarding bodies as to whether units under the new QCF level 4 qualification framework should be shared or restricted.

These bodies have a wealth of knowledge and experience at their disposal but so long as standards are maintained, introducing new blood may provide a different approach to the qualification - one that fits better with the lives of busy industry professionals. It would be a shame to see that opportunity cut off.

Of course, Wizard Learning continues to provide innovative support for the current crop of exams. We have recently introduced our new blended learning package incorporating face-to-face revision days into our popular range of online study products. We recognise the fact that we all learn in different ways and our training modules have been specifically designed to give a range of revision choices for the financial planning exams. See our information page to learn more about our online training.

Good luck with your ongoing studies.
