Bright Grey delivers quick and slick service
- 75% of business submitted online is through interactive quote and apply
- 52% of applicants receive an immediate acceptance
Since the launch of Bright Grey’s expert underwriting system, called interactive quote and apply, the overall pass rates have been transformed, so much so that over half of applicants now receive an immediate acceptance.
Having the ability to generate quick and detailed decisions, the system delivers an extremely efficient service that speeds up the application process for advisers, meaning their clients get cover more quickly. Not only does this help reduce an adviser's workload, it also means that their commission is released faster.
A benefit of the system is that fewer clients are asked for additional medical information and overall 12% fewer cases now require further medical evidence. This helps improve the overall customer experience and simplifies the application. The other advantage is that applications can be processed much faster, so on average cases without medicals are now being offered cover 40% faster (from 5 days to 3 days).
Roger Edwards, Proposition Director at Bright Grey said:
"Having very swift processing times helps advisers keep their clients engaged through the sales process and ultimately helps convert more business."
"In a relatively small amount of time our expert underwriting system is the preferred method of doing business with Bright Grey with three-quarters of all our online applications submitted via interactive quote and apply. It’s not difficult to see why the system has developed such a loyal band of followers, as advisers have been quick to realise the tangible benefits."
Bright Grey's bespoke system was launched in March this year, making it the first UK protection provider to build its own expert underwriting system in-house. Having a re-insurer independent system allows the business a large degree of flexibility for real time updates to be implemented.
