Are you rising to the challenge that lies ahead? or...

resigned to the fact that the market's a bit flat?

The market may be a little flat at the moment, but we believe the potential is huge. In fact, concerns in the sub-prime mortgage market make protection more vital than ever. So we’re doing even more to help you capitalise on this potential in the year ahead.

After very successful sales growth in 2007, we have ambitious plans for 2008. Our aim is to become the provider of choice for a value-based protection proposition. And to make sure we achieve this, we're making further investments in our systems, people and processes.

New initiatives:
  • We’re launching our business protection proposition next month
  • We’re implementing a new expert underwriting system in the Spring
  • We’re increasing the size of our sales team by recruiting 4 new Partnership Managers, 2 Business Protection specialists and 4 desk-based Sales Consultants
New acquisitions

Finally, we expect the planned acquisition of Resolution by Pearl to be completed around 4 February, after which we will welcome the Scottish Provident protection business to the Royal London Group.

Like Bright Grey, Scottish Provident is a well-respected brand in the protection market, so it makes sense for it to operate as a separate brand from Bright Grey when it comes on board. And to have its very own Customer Proposition Team who will be responsible for defining and delivering its strategy and proposition.

Royal London’s planned acquisition of the Scottish Provident business shows it is totally committed to the protection market. So the future is bright here at Bright Grey and Royal London. I would like to thank you for your loyalty and continued support, and look forward to strengthening our relationship in the year ahead.
