Fidelity Adviser Solutions: UFPLS withdrawals and the annual allowance tax charge

Paul Squirrell, Fidelity Adviser Solutions’ pension expert, answers a question raised via our Pension Forum. He considers whether an annual allowance tax charge applies to contributions made to a client’s pension in the same tax year as an UFPLS withdrawal was made. In this example, the contributions were in excess of the MPAA.
